SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — Lots of people attending Comic-Con dress up as superheroes, but some attendees got to be real heroes.

The San Diego Blood Bank is holding a special blood drive to coincide with Comic-Con.
This comes as the Red Cross is reporting a large deficit in supplies.
There was a special guest at Thursday’s drive. You man remember Ryan Wilcox.
He’s the Grossmont High School student fighting cancer, who recently received a visit from actors Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow
