NBC MEMBERS HAVE THE CAPABILITIES TO SUPPORT RESEARCH AND CLINICAL STUDIES
In Addition to routine blood banking product availability we have the following capabilities, which include demographic information on all products / samples if requested:
Ø Cell Therapy Research Laboratory
Ø Development and Research Services (DRS)
Ø Reference Laboratory Testing and Procedures
Ø Large state of the art, clean rooms/lab facilities
Ø Clinical and Regulatory Certifications and consultation capabilities
Please Contact Amy Wilharm, CEO, at awilharm@nationalbloodcollaborative.org for further details.
- Types of human derived draws / blood collections:
Whole Blood:
o 500mL whole blood collected in CPD anticoagulant plus AS-1 Red Cell Additive
o 500mL whole blood collected in CPDA-1
o 450mL whole blood collected without anticoagulant, for production of serum
Apheresis Platelets:
o Single donor platelets
o Concurrent plasma by apheresis
o Concurrent red blood cell by apheresis with AS-3 Red Cell Additive Solution
o Double red cell blood by apheresis (Trima or Haemonetics) with AS-3 Red Cell Additive Solution
o Plasmapheresis (plasma only donation on Trima)
Special Apheresis Collections:
o Leukapheresis for MNC’s (healthy donors)
o Leukapheresis for MNC’s (on donors/patients selected by researcher)
o Leukapheresis for Granulocytes
