Amber Gilbert Named Vice President, Business Intelligence
at National Blood Collaborative
Industry veteran will lead network of blood centers to help deliver blood management services
WEST WARWICK, Rhode Island — The National Blood Collaborative (NBC) is pleased to announce that Amber Gilbert has been named Vice President, Business Intelligence. In her new role, Gilbert will be responsible for strategic plan development and deployment for all sales strategies, marketing communications, and public relations functions at NBC.
“I am honored to be joining NBC and appreciate the Board’s trust and support,” said Gilbert. “I’ve been privileged to work in the industry for nearly two decades and, as it evolves, I look forward to the opportunity to help community blood centers in their efforts to support patients and save lives.”
Gilbert has more than 16 years experience in the blood banking industry, including a diverse background in operational implementation, product procurement and distribution, and vendor relations. She began her blood banking career in 2006 at the Oklahoma Blood Institute as a Laboratory Technician in the Infectious Disease Testing Laboratory, and spent the next 14 years serving in several roles, including External Accounts Manager, where she was responsible for the external partners portfolio of Infectious Disease Testing, Resource Sharing and Contracting of Transfusable and Further Manufacturing products, and Logistics vendor relations. In 2020, Gilbert joined American Red Cross Cell and Gene Therapy Solutions. Most recently, as Director of Client Relationship Management, she was responsible for supporting clients and internal operations to provide collection of cells for use in research development, clinical and commercial production.
